The 5th Grade Committee is responsible for working closely with the 5th Grade teachers, the Principal, the art and music teachers, to plan and organize the special 5th Grade events. It is also their responsibility to raise enough money to fund these events and manage the available budget.

Moving to the 5 person model will allow the 5 Chair members to organize the events as they see fit and to open up the volunteers for the events so that more parents will be able to attend the different festivities.

CONGRATULATIONS! Your daughter/son will be moving up from Fernbrook in June, 2021. Our 5th Grade committee is planning many special events in honor of this exciting final year of elementary school!

Take Out/Restaurant Fundraisers: We will be working with several take out and sit down restaurants in the area to fundraise for these events. If you eat in/take out from these restaurants on the dates/times provided (dates, times and locations coming soon), we will receive a percentage of the proceeds.

The 5th Grade Committee is also going to:

Organize the front bulletin board with baby pictures/current picture of our 5th graders.

Have T-shirts made for use at all 5th grade events.

Make custom masks for each 5th grader.

We would like to have a custom t-shirt made for each graduate with all of their signatures on it. Please have your child sign their name in black marker or sharpie on the page provided and either email it to grade5committee@fernbrookpto.org or send it in to school with your child in an envelope marked “5th Grade Committee”. Please also be sure to fill out your 5th grader’s t-shirt size on the form provided.

Baby Pictures

In order to decorate the front bulletin board with “then and now” photos, we need a baby picture of each graduate. Please send in a baby photo of your 5th grader (labeled with their name and teacher on the back) in an envelope marked “5th Grade committee” as soon as possible.

Contact the 5th Grade committee at grade5committee@fernbrookpto.org with any questions.

This year will look a little different than most, but with everyone’s help, we hope to make this year special for our 5th graders! Thank you!
